Privacy Policy
Last updated: 3 February 2026
Ambit Systems Pty Ltd (“Ambit Systems”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is an Australian company. This page explains how we handle personal information. We collect only what we need, and we do not sell personal information.
What We Collect And Why
When you use this website, we may collect contact details you provide (for example, via the enquiry form), basic technical data generated as part of operating a website (IP address, user agent, access logs), and local preferences stored in your browser (such as theme). Theme preference is stored locally and is not transmitted.
If you engage with us as a design partner or customer, we may also process business contact information, configuration and governance artefacts relevant to Authority (policy and delegation definitions), and governance evidence records produced at the action boundary (the evidentiary record of ALLOW | DENY | ESCALATE decisions). The specific fields retained, redacted, hashed, or exported are determined by your configuration and contractual instructions.
We use personal information to respond to enquiries, operate and secure our services, administer our business, and comply with law. We do not use personal information for advertising.
How We Share Personal Information
We may share personal information with service providers who help us operate our website and communications (hosting, email, form processing), with professional advisers where necessary, and where required by law. Service providers are permitted to use information only to provide services to us.
Where Authority is deployed in your environment, your organisation controls what data is collected and retained.
Some service providers may process personal information outside Australia. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure the overseas recipient handles information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Retention And Security
We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described above, unless law requires otherwise. For customers, retention of governance evidence records is governed by your configuration and commercial terms.
We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
If we become aware of a data breach that is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner in accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information. To make a request, contact privacy@ambit-systems.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
Cookies
We do not use advertising cookies. We use minimal client-side storage to support site functionality (such as remembering your theme preference).
Changes And Contact
We may update this policy from time to time and will update the date above. For privacy questions, contact privacy@ambit-systems.com.
