Who We Are

Ambit Systems is building the independent system of record for autonomous authority: the layer that decides whether a specific action was delegated, before it executes, and produces a receipt that proves it after the fact — independent of any platform. Authority evaluates a proposed action before it runs and returns ALLOW, DENY, or ESCALATE. Every decision is committed to a cryptographically tamper-evident ledger that binds the action fingerprint, delegation, exact policy bundle, outcome, and reasons. Observatory makes those records, plus policy-readable behavioural evidence derived from them, replayable so engineering leaders, governance teams, auditors, and regulators can verify what was allowed, why, and under which rule months or years later. Over time, that decision ledger becomes the system of record for autonomous authority inside the organisation.

The company exists because autonomous software is crossing from recommendation into execution. A proposed action can pass model-output checks, hold valid credentials, satisfy a framework checkpoint, look harmless to a runtime shield, and still fall outside the delegation that should govern it. Ambit asks the missing question before consequence: was this action authorised, under this policy, by this delegation, right now?

Ambit’s answer is infrastructure: deterministic evaluation, bound action fingerprints, exact policy bundles, hash-chained decision ledgers, integrity-signed evidence records, policy-readable behavioural evidence, and replayable receipts. Behaviour can inform policy without becoming hidden live model state; policy remains explicit, versioned, and enforceable. The standard is durability, not velocity.

Why We Exist

Autonomous systems are beginning to execute refunds, data exports, infrastructure changes, customer communications, and other consequential operations. The runtime may be capable, the model may be impressive, and the actor may be authenticated; none of that answers the governance question that matters after the fact: who authorised this action, under which policy, before it ran?

Ambit exists to close that gap at the action boundary. Ambit Authority is the pre-execution decision layer. Ambit Observatory is the evidence and behavioural assurance plane. Together they turn governance from retrospective explanation into an enforceable mechanism with cryptographic evidence and durable proof.

How We Work

Ambit Systems works with a focused design-partner cohort to validate real autonomous-action paths, not generic AI-risk workshops. Each engagement starts with a consequential action boundary: what the system wants to do, what authority can permit it, which policy applies, and what cryptographic evidence must exist if that decision is challenged later.

We work directly with engineering and governance teams during scoped evaluations. Ambit Systems products operate on an Annual Subscription model — not per-token, not per-seat, not micro-metered.
